Sad, but at the same time, I feel like the issue of marriage is made too much of a deal of in America. I mean, it’s all fine and good to have that freedom, but there are other freedoms that I feel like I don’t have. Lots of people that are outside the gender norm live in that reality, and most of them are least concerned with marriage. I don’t know, it all saddens me.I find it so hard to believe we live in a world where people are killed because of who they love.
Sorry to be such a downer but this just fucking depresses me.
Sigh. It is really depressing, but it needs to be known so it can be fixed…
China and Russia also have death penalty or jail, or psychiatric hospital. Sometimes I think the amount of democracy and freedom in a country can be measured pretty accurately by such things. If a country punishes homosexuality, other basic human rights will be very likely under pressure and “regulated” too.
